Week-End Review

Hello, I am so bad at keeping up with my blog. Life gets busy with 2 kids, a cat, a dog, and the biggest kid, my hubby.  The week-end was pretty busy and I loved it. Here is a re-cap of some of the things we did over the wee-end.

Saturday:

We had some backyard work starting. We are pouring concrete to make our patio a little bigger and having them pour cement on one side of the house. The side of the house is always muddy and the grass is not growing at all there, so cement it is so we can get our trash out without getting muddy shoes. This is how is looking so far. I can't wait until its done. Hopefully, on Tuesday they will be pouring the cement.

Backyard. Extending existing patio. Grass not growing and just muddy as you can tell by the picture.

Side of the house. See have of it is just dirt. Grass will just not grow there. They will be making a little area under the windows so I can plant some flowers.

While, they were doing this at the house. Briana and I went to one of her classmates birthday pool party at the NRH Centre. She had a blast and did not want to leave, none of the girls did. We will be coming back with Christopher.

Sunday:

We went to Aaron Brothers to see what the problem was with one of the frames we picked-out. They had called on Thursday and said they miss cut one of the frames and they went to order more and saw they were out of stock and did not know when they will be receiving it, so we had to go in and pick out a new one or wait until they receive the one we ordered, which can take anywhere from 2-6 weeks or 2-6 months. What!!  Luckily when we went today, the lady was confused and said they do have it in stock and will expedite the order for it and have our frames ready by Thursday. Yay!!!

On the way back home, we were all hungry. George want to take us to this hole in the wall place he had saw one day while doing an appraisal. So we went to check it out. We love going and exploring new places to eat. We get tired of the same ole fast foods and same restaurants. The place was pretty packed. Good sign.  We ordered our food, Cafeteria style. Umm.. Okay. We ordered Catfish and fries.  The food was okay. I give the place a a B-.

This is my plate. Fried Everything! Fried Catfish, Fried Okra (Yuck!), Hush Puppies, and Fries.

I loved this sign/Prayer that was on all the tables. Barbeque Prayer.

After we finished eating. We went to see the Storm Family. They invited the neighbors for an Ice Cream Social. We had a great time visiting and catching up with everyone. We are going to miss the Mayor of the block. :)

That was our week-end. Hope everyone has a great week. <3
